Organic Carbonisation System (OCS) - HBC’s Accelerated Carbonisation Technology

 

The Organic Carbonisation System (OCS) is HBC's revolutionary technology that has a number of environmental, commercial and social benefits.
 

The OCS is an Accelerated Cabonisation Technology (ACT) that has the potential to be a key tool in helping governments, corporations and citizens reduce landfill waste, improve waste management efficiency and deliver on net-zero emissions pledges.

 

OCS-Char, produced by exposing organic material to high pressure and temperature, can act as a carbon sink, sequestering carbon for up to thousands of years and when added to the earth can improve water quality, increase soil fertility and agricultural yields.

 

OCS-Char also helps eliminate the need to burn or bury waste, both expensive and unsustainable practices that have huge adverse environmental impacts from air pollution to contaminated land.

 

As well as reducing the need for landfill and industrial-scale incinerators, OCS creates useful by-products that can transform once costly waste into a valuable commodity at a yield of 98% of its by-product. 

 

High purity OCS-Char (carbon or charcoal pellets) produced through OCS can be used as a nutrient-rich fertiliser, a material used in cement and brick production and in a variety of other industrial applications, as well as carbon capture and storage (CCS).
