HBC offers Environmental & Waste Management Solutions
Why is the OCS different?
HBC’s Organic Carbonisation System (OCS) is a revolutionary reactor that converts almost any piece of organic waste - most items found in household or municipal garbage chains - into a cheap, clean OCS-Char.
This is done with our Organic Carbonisation System (OCS) which applies through an accelerated hydrothermal carbonisation process. Unlike most incinerators or common biochar machines, the OCS does not rely on combustion, so nothing is burnt and there are no greenhouse gasses released in the process.
The OCS is an environmentally-friendly waste disposal method and a clean alternative to conventional, widespread landfill waste management (ie. burying garbage) and large scale waste incineration (ie. burning garbage).

There is no gas is emitted or secreted during the treatment process. As a result, the OCS process is considered to have Negative Carbon Omission (NCO).

-
Environmental protection via zero emissions of toxic gas into atmosphere
-
Climate change abatement by zero atmosphere CO2 atmospheric emissions
-
Human health safely guarded during operation
What is Carbonisation?
HBC has developed a revolutionary Accelerated Carbonisation Technology (ACT) that is delivered through the application of the OCS. This technology is based on two main parameters: Temperature, 450°C, at a maximum pressure of 10 bars; and, a catalytic design - a complex model that cannot be disclosed due to confidentiality of the unique invention.
The carbon powder by-product’s capacity
The OCS-Char (carbon pellets) byproduct has a pure carbon capacity of up to approximately 98% and can be used for many industrial applications such as:

-
CO2 sequestration/Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)
-
Soil rejuvenation/biochar
-
Light industrial applications such as graphite (pencil tips),
-
Cement and brick manufacturing
-
Dry cells
-
Electrodes and as lubricant
-
Heavy industrial application such smelt, (iron and steel industry)
